Tables

Tables are THE most useful tool when designing web pages. They separate the page into usable chunks, called cells. Each cell can be considered a little area of itself. This page here 13 - Tables is made up of tables. the first table holds the Alien Navigation Dial and Jet's Help Bubble. The second table contains the site's different protected zones Kid's Zone, Teacher's Zone and Advanced Zone. The third table has the choices for each content section - you are currently in the Guide content section. The fourth table holds each lesson, and the fifth the bottom buttons.

IMPORTANT! when coding tables it becomes VERY necessary to remember to ALWAYS FORMAT YOUR CODE! When you start to nest tables inside of tables you will regret not formatting!

One of the most common and easy way to start using tables is to put your text into Columns.

code:
<table>
  <tr>
    <td>
text in columns<br>Column 1</td>
    <td>
text in columns<br>Column 2</td>
  </tr>
</table>

How it looks:

text in columns
Column 1
text in columns
Column 2

You can have practically any combination of rows, columns, background and text effects.

text right/at bottom
  text left/at top

  text centered/in middle

Hi! I'm Jet Internet! I'm here to guide you through the site and help you with any questions you may have. When you see and text in red slide your cursor over the word then look here in my Speach bubble. I will be able to help with defining, explaining and providing extra information on that topic.
